Hi, my name Jeff Baker. Five years ago, I wanted to build a small teardrop camper in my garage. I quickly learned the project was going to take more space and tools than I had available. My wife, Laura, having the patience of saint, supported my idea to rent a small storage unit and purchase a CNC router table to help with construction. This was truly a major investment for a one off project. Over the course of six month, I designed and built with the help of many friends and family, my first teardrop camper. The idea evolved and Hyk Outdoors LLC was born. We would build completed campers and also allow people to purchase our teardrop camper as a kit you could build at home. The work of cutting all of the wood products on a CNC made the assembly process quick and easy. As Hyk Outdoors grew, we purchased more equipment and tools. We added finished work space for welding and metal work.

In 2024, we realized there are many people that would take on larger more complex project IF THEY JUST HAD ACCESS TO THE TOOLS AND SPACE. Say no more!!! We have created a space where YOU can build your project. Access to a 5x10 CNC Router, 5x10 CNC plasma table, welders, hand tools, brakes, sanders, etc. At Wood and Metal Shop, we can cut large project pieces on our CNC machines and YOU can build your project at our shop or take it home. We have 8,000 square feet of space for you to create and build your projects with tons of tools for making your project fun and easy to complete.
