Why would I want to be part of wood and metal shop.com?
Have you seen a project on Pinterest/Etsy and thought you’d love make or build it but just don’t have the room or tools? At Wood and Metal Shop, you pay a monthly membership which grants you access to industrial quality machinery including CNC router, CNC plasma table, large woodworking equipment, welding tables, benders, brakes, 3D printers, laser engraver/cutter, vinyl cutter, and many hand tools.
What skill level do I need to be a member"?
All. From beginning woodworkers, to very experienced; those who have never welded to those who can stack dimes. Parents, this is a great way to have hands on projects for their children. This is both a learning and teaching environment. You can try something new without the major expense of purchasing tools and equipment.
What does my membership include?
1 hr per month of CNC router and/or CNC plasma usage

What can I build or make?
Your creativity and imagination are the only limits at Wood and Metal Shop. Come design and build anything you can dream up(or whatever is on your significant others to do list). Found a file for project and need it plasma cut from steel or cut from wood? We’ll take care of that part and you finish it up. Build anything from a small shelf to a utility trailer.
How much is additional CNC router and plasma table time after my monthly time allotment?
Additional time can be purchase for $150/hr for those machines. Time will be billed in 15 min increments. Larger 5 hr blocks of time can also be purchased as $100/hr.
Can I use Wood and Metal Shop as a way to start up a small business idea?
We hope you do. When I was starting Hyk Outdoors, I needed a small space and tools just like this to help me get the idea off the ground. Having a shared workspace and tools makes your idea possible without committing to large purchases of tools and space.
